Big dreams
Professional marathon runner Michael Somers realized his biggest dream in 2024: his first Olympic marathon. Live on TV and with tears in his eyes, he dedicated this achievement to his terminally ill father, his biggest fan, who passed away three days later.
A new life
Barely six months later, Michael suffered another crushing blow. Due to a latent heart condition, he had to stop competitive sports immediately and permanently. Once again, it became clear how fragile life is. Life does not always give way to our dreams. This harsh verdict caused Michael to lose his passion. Until a new life gave him a new goal.
